viXra.org e-Print archive, funding

viXra Funding

viXra.org is an unfunded UK-based project run by unpaid individuals with an interest in scientific progress. Server space is kindly provided for us by ZettaVolt.co.uk. The server for the mirror site is provided by QuantumDream Inc. We would like to find further funding to help pay for expenses and develop the viXra project further. We have the skills but the time has a cost.

Some of the things we would like to do are:

- Automate the submission process (done)
- submission by web form
- Extract lists of references and citations
- Provide an inbuilt search facility
- Automate trackback links
- Add user login
- Supply usage statistics such as numbers of e-print downloads
- Improve backup facilities
- Interface for the Open Archive Initiative
- Subject Tagging
- RSS feeds (done)
- Author listings (done)
- Add Haloscan commenting (done)
- Improve long-term listings (done)

We would also like to establish more independent mirror sites for viXra.org to help ensure that work deposited here will remain permanently available.
